What is Europe? What fundamental values define European identity, and how can we explore them? What is their relation to the EU and countries outside of the EU? How can we leverage debate methodology to bring European values closer to young people and the community? How can we critically examine them and build informed attitudes about them? If you have followed the “Debate clubs for community” course, you know how to debate clubs can become actors for change. Now we want to apply those lessons to the topic of European values!
You will learn how to
- Engage students on topics of Europeanism, inclusion, equality
- Connect different debate motions to fundamental European values
- Organise discussions about values and value-based actions
